What to Expect
The Built-Right Bath Method
Four steps, no shortcuts — and the exact division of labor between you and us, in writing.
1. Listen First
Your free in-home consult starts with us being quiet. What's wrong with the room, how you use it, what you want it to become — the plan comes from your answers, not our template.
2. Laser-Measure & Plan
We laser-measure the actual room — including the out-of-square walls every older home has — and put scope, materials, price, and a timeline range in writing.
3. Moisture-Proof Build
Full tear-out, honest inspection of what's behind the walls, and moisture-proof backing on every wet wall before a single panel goes up. Our crew stays on your job until it's done.
4. Finish & Stand Behind It
Tight seams, clean caulk lines, and a broom-clean site. You receive a clearly documented project scope and a final walkthrough before the job is considered complete.
What you do vs. what we do
| Stage | You | Us |
|---|---|---|
| Before the visit | Tell us what's wrong with the bathroom — that's it | Schedule promptly and show up when we said we would |
| The consult | Talk honestly about how you use the room and what bothers you | Listen first, then laser-measure and walk you through real options and honest ranges |
| The decision | Take your time — sleep on it, compare bids, ask questions | Deliver a written estimate: scope, materials, price, timeline range, hidden-damage protocol. No 'sign tonight' pressure, ever |
| Build days | Clear the bathroom's cabinets and a path to the door | Floor protection, tear-out, honest inspection, moisture-proof build, daily broom-clean, and a crew that stays on your job until it's done |
| The finish | Walk the room with us and check everything | Fix anything that isn't right before we call it done |
Communication cadence
You'll know the plan for each day before it starts, you'll hear immediately if we find anything behind the walls (with photos and a written price before work continues), and you'll never wonder where your crew went — because once your job starts, it's the only job the crew is on.
The pitfalls we build against
- Skipped backing — the industry's favorite invisible shortcut. Every wet wall gets moisture-proof backing, photographed before panels go on.
- Eyeballed measurements — older homes are never square, which is why we laser-measure instead of guessing. 'It's about 60 inches' is how gaps and leaks are born.
- Panel-over-problems — liners over old tubs and panels over damaged walls just seal the failure inside. We tear out and fix, then build.
- The disappearing crew — the classic mid-project vanish to another job site. We schedule so it can't happen to you.
How long will it take?
Honestly: it depends on scope, which is why your estimate includes a written timeline range instead of a slogan. Wet-area-only projects are quickest; full-bathroom scope takes longer; hidden repairs add the time they add. What's fixed is the promise around the timeline: a written shower-outage window before we start, and no leaving until it's done.
